The Branch Server provides the network boot and system management infrastructure for the Novell® Linux Point of Service terminals as well as a generic system platform for in-store applications, such as database systems and back ends for the Point of Service applications.
This section reviews the procedures required to set up a standard Branch Server:
If you are setting up a high-availability Branch Server, follow the instructions in Section 7.0, Setting Up High Availability Branch Servers.
