1.0 About this Release

Micro Focus Storage Manager 5.3 for eDirectory is primarily a maintenance release. Please note the updates and changes below.

2.0 Admin Client

2.1 Updated Requirements

  • .NET Framework 4.8 on supported platforms

  • Supported platforms include:

    • Windows Server 2012 R2 and later

    • Windows 10 (currently supported editions), 64-bit only

2.2 General Updates

  • Now supports TLS 1.2 for connections with the Engine

  • Refreshed look-and-feel

3.0 Service Components (Engine, Agent, Event Monitor)

3.1 Updated Requirements

  • Open Enterprise 2018 SP1 or later required for installation

    (Engine and Agent can still manage storage via proxy for older versions of OES)

  • Open Enterprise 2018 SP2 support added

3.2 General Updates

  • TLS 1.2 now supported and enforced for all service components

  • Third party libraries updated to current versions
