9.0 Command Control Components

The components of the Command Control module interact with other Privileged User Manager modules as indicated in the following table.

Component	Description
Command Control Console	Provides the user interface with the Command Control database to allow creation and management of Command Control rules. Available on all supported platforms. Interacts with: Framework Manager Console: Provides the main user interface. Command Control Manager: Contains the Command Control information.
Command Control Manager	Contains the database of Command Control rules. Available on all supported platforms. Interacts with: Command Control Console: Provides a user interface to the Command Control module. Command Control Agents: Provides client functionality for the Command Control module.
Command Control Agent	Provides the client for Command Control, including shells and remote execution binaries. Available on all supported UNIX and Linux platforms. Interacts with: Command Control Manager: Obtains command authentication information. System Information Agent: Obtains remote host information from alternative hosts. Audit Manager: Sends collected audit information to the Audit Manager.
System Information Agent	A background agent that gathers host and user information on the agents. Available on all supported UNIX and Linux platforms. Interacts with: Command Control Agents: Supply requested information regarding hosts and users.
Audit Manager	Contains the database of all Command Control activity and user-logged sessions. Available on all supported platforms. Interacts with: Command Control Reports: Provide a user interface for Command Control audited events. Command Control Agent: Receives the auditing information.
Reporting	Provides the primary user interface for auditing. You add plug-ins to view appropriate package information. Available on all supported platforms. Interacts with: Framework Manager Console: Provides the main user interface. Command Control Reports: Provide the Command Control auditing interface.
Command Control Reports Console	Provides the Command Control auditing interface that reports on all successful/unsuccessful Command Control events, as well as captured sessions and replay. Available on all supported platforms. Interacts with: Audit Manager: Contains the audited information. Reporting: Parent console of the Command Control Reports console.
