Welcome to the Novell exteNd Messaging Platform - a 100% Java based set of middleware technologies that provide secure and transactional, synchronous and asynchronous messaging using a variety of protocols and transports. The Novell exteNd Messaging Platform (MP) supports standards such as the Java Messaging Service (JMS), the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA), the Java Transaction Service (JTS), and the Java Transaction API (JTA).
The Novell exteNd Messaging Platform combines the jBroker MQ, jBroker ORB, and jBroker TM products into a single comprehensive solution for sophisticated messaging needs. The Novell exteNd Messaging Platform requires a Java 2 Development Kit (JDK) for development and a Java 2 Runtime Environment (JRE) for running applications. The Java Naming and Directory Interface with COS Naming Service provider is included for people developing with JDK 1.2. For details on requirements for each of the technologies, follow the links below: This release has been tested on Windows 2000/2003 and XP, Solaris Sparc/Intel 2.6+, Linux Red Hat 7.x/8, and Netware 6.5. The following JDKs are supported:Java 2 Standard Edition
