Designer is a powerful, graphical toolset that helps you configure and deploy Identity Manager.

An Identity Vault stores data and definitions. The Identity Manager engine manages the flow of data in and out of the Identity Vault as well as between other systems and directories. Drivers tie the systems together and ensure that communication flows smoothly, regardless of formats used. Designer’s user interface uses an abstraction of the data in order to remain flexible without impacting existing data and definitions, until you decide to deploy the model that you have designed and tested.
