downloading the software


  1. Click the Download button next to each file:

  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to download each file to a temporary directory on the Linux server where you want to install Novell Data Synchronizer and the SugarCRM Connector.

Your download of the Novell Data Synchronizer Connector for SugarCRM evaluation version entitles you to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Support Pack 1.

  1. On the server where you downloaded the file, install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Support Pack 1.

installing novell data synchronizer

  1. On the Linux desktop, start YaST.

  2. Under Groups, click Software, then click Add-On Products.

  3. On the Installed Add-On Products page, click Add, select Local ISO Image, then click Next.

  4. In the Repository Name field, specify a name for the repository that will hold the Data Synchronizer software.

  5. In the Path to ISO Image field, browse to and select the Novell Data Synchronizer ISO file that you downloaded, then click Next.

  6. Accept the License Agreement, then click Next.

  7. Under Primary Functions, select Novell Data Synchronizer, then click Accept to start the installation.

When you install Novell Data Synchronizer, the GroupWise Connector is also installed. For complete installation instructions, see the Novell Data Synchronizer Installation Guide on the Web.

installing the sugarcrm connector

  1. In the directory where you downloaded the files, install the SugarCRM Connector RPM:

    rpm -i datasync-syncengine-connector-sugarcrm5-1.0-build_number-x86_64.rpm

    This installs the SugarCRM Connector to the following directory:

    /opt/novell/datasync/syncengine/connectors/sugarcrm5

known issues

For a list of known issues, see the SugarCRM Connector Readme on the Web. The Readme also includes instructions for removing the 30-day limitation on the evaluation version.
